Our first program of the year was out annual essay contest, the subject for this years contest was "How do Dreams Lead to Success". We had many submissions from the community but ultimately chose three top contestants to join us in a luncheon with their parents and teachers to celebrate their accomplishment and to present their essays to the rest of the club. From Thomas Edison's trials in perfecting the electric light bulb, an English band's rise to super stardom to the simple discovery of one's passion in life being the engine to drive aspiration to greater accomplishments, all of the essays displayed positive messages on how great things often come from simple ideas and dedication. Winner Daniel Judd's essay will go on to compete in the regional contest and we wish him well. Posted below are a few pictures an more importantly, the videos of the contestants Essays.
